It doesn't seem to hurt him, though. And it hasn't set the couch on fire, so I'm not sure it spreads like normal fire?

It shouldn't be a problem if you're just texting one or two people at the same time. I've never run into problems.

That's weird. Well, as long as he's not hurt or destroying things...? But I haven't heard of anyone doing that.

You wouldn't need to. I can shapeshift my hair color... though that's about the only thing I know how to do with that skill.

Well, I'm a lot faster than I used to be, with the gear. We mostly focus on the gear anyway. But I have managed to pick up some tricks, too.

Sometimes it's both him and Mikasa teaching me at the same time. Which I affectionately call hell days. It's tough being up against both of them. And I mean against, because a lot of the training is dodging them with the gear.

Shapeshifting and dyeing your hair permanently are two different threats, you know.

Faster? Wow! You were already so fast, the only person who was quicker was Mikasa. You'll have to show me when we go take on a quest, if we have time.

Wow... training against Captain Levi and Mikasa, you really have improved! I'm so proud!

What if we just leave each other's hair alone. And figure out what's going on with Galliard's sometime. Is he even aware of it?

[Jean can never understand how Marco said praises like that with a straight face. Sure, it was easier on text, even, but he did that even face to face.

And it feels good, it's silly, but he's smiling at his phone.]

I'll definitely show you at some point. Mikasa's still definitely faster, of course. Levi, too, but that doesn't come as a surprise.

Apparently they're related. Not closely, but they have the same surname. The more you know.

He doesn't seem to be. Just now he told me not to mess with his hair. And before, when I mentioned it to him, he thought I was making a joke.

They're related?! Oh wow, I wouldn't have expected that... Still, they're both very powerful. They call Levi humanity's strongest - but you know that already.

They do have some similarities, too, but it was still surprising to hear. Not that I've asked about it from either of them, since it's not that important.

I wonder how distantly they are related. If they knew each other at all I'm sure you'd know by now, so it must be very far apart.

Still! That means I'm going to have a high expectation of your skills, now. :)

[ Marco was good at using the ODM, especially in maneuvering, but his big skill - assessment - was one he shared with Jean and wasn't as good at. He knew a lot of it had to do with his ability to work with various teams. It'd been why they'd even given him command of a temporary squad at all, despite there being six other higher ranked candidates. ]

Well, now I'm definitely curious to see what you think works with the way I use ODM. We should have a proper practice session at some point!

Hm... It's too bad we don't have Titan targets here. And I wouldn't want to ask anybody who did have a titan form to let us practice on them :(

We can make similar practice dummies we had in trainee corps. It wouldn't be too hard.

But don't go wishing for titans. There's enough monsters around without then showing up.

Don't worry, the last thing I want is Titans showing up here. It sounds like the segments are dangerous enough without them roaming around!

Practice dummies might be a good idea, though.

I mean, we ended up fighting a giant sentient house once. And then there were frost giants and giant worms. Plenty of big things to worry about, even.

It's not my area of expertise, but I can see what I come up with.

Yeah, a house that moves on its own and tries to eat you. It even had arms. And a tongue made of rug.

I can't make this shit up. Eren, Armin and Reiner all experienced the same thing.

That sounds... terrifying. And yet I kind of want to see one. How did you end up 'killing' it?

With a lot of fire. We had three summer users, after all.

Reiner had his titan, but even that proved to break because of the dark energy affecting our abilities. But he manages to keep the house still for us to fry it.

You defeated the house by burning it down. You sent it up in flames. You house fired it.
