[ and so, sometime after the whole death and bad communication saga comes to an end and levi has (hopefully) been ungrounded, he's at jean's door again. it's been a while. he hadn't really come by much since hange showed up, not needing the existence handshakes anymore, but that doesn't mean he's not still keeping tabs on his favorite ~~kids~~ subordinates even when they're not training together. ]

[ A package arrives addressed to Jean and Mikasa. It contains a brand new Memory Camera. Alongside the instructions on how to use it, there is a handwritten note in what may be a familiar script: ]

Congratulations on your marriage. Jean mentioned missing some important people from home at your wedding. Hope this helps.

[ Does he already know this? He can't remember at the moment. ]

[It really isn't about the ears.

[Armin is...intrigued to see what a real pair of animal ears might look on a person, but aside from all of that, Armin's just happy to see his friend. Jean and Mikasa both seem so happy together, and this world is so mild compared to their own (at least, it seems that way so far) - maybe they really do all have a chance at peace here. It's still strange to think about.

[He is really curious to see those ears though; so, he's been excited for tonight. He knocks on Jean's door. He's been here a few times, but not enough - never enough - to just let himself in.]

[ It's probably during a break in training that Levi stalks up to Jean and once again shoves something in his hands. This time, the package is much smaller, wrapped in brown paper. It contains a Safety Pin. ]

[ Then there's a silence. Then; ]

For when you're away from Mikasa.

[ Honestly, he hadn't been sure if he should get them the pins for this reason. Mikasa is about the one non-titan-shifter person he trusts to get shit done with the same or similar efficiency as he does. But, well. It can't hurt. ]

[ He will give her one after this exchange, too. ]

[In her infinite wisdom, Caster, who felt a little guilty for just how poorly she treated him on their venture to the winter segment (even if it was his own fault! He asked her to be awful to him!), decided the best solution to this problem was to work out where Jean lived and leave an ominously wrapped care package on his doorstep. It looked like the Halloween gift wrap was already in stock, so that would do nicely.

Creepy witch.

If she was hoping that she hadn’t burned her bridge with him, it was certainly the wrong way to go about it- but maybe he’d appreciate a warm winter cloak, and a pair of obnoxiously (mockingly) fluffy ear-muffs.]

It's a somewhat blurry picture Marco has taken from where he sits on one end of the couch, slacks and socked feet in view. Porco is on the other side, and Marco has wormed his feet into Porco's lap. Notably, Porco is shouting at the television - the particularly controversial episode of Annika where she announced her engagement is on screen. Porco's hair is bright yellow, flames having taken the place of the longer half of his hair. The undercut looks like it's burning embers. ]

[ The week of 12/24, Jean will find a somewhat lumpy wrapped present next to Mikasa's with his name on it.

Inside, it's a flattering black leather jacket that matches Mikasa's in style. The inner lining is dark red florals instead of the normal silky black. There's also a package of 'glow in the dark stars' you can stick on your walls and ceilings; however, these actually look like stars once they are placed and glow just as softly.

There's also a little handwritten post-it from Marco. ]

Jean! I hope you like this jacket, it matches Mikasa's. Maybe you two can wear it for date night. Please enjoy the stars and cookies as well!

[ Levi would really rather do this in person, but it's urgent enough that he'd rather start off like this than wait until he can make his way across the city. Jean and Mikasa will receive the same message; ]

Are you okay? [ And, a little more worried, concern almost making it into the Captain's dull tone; ] What did you see?

[ On the Solstice, a package appears on Jean's doorstep. It contains a Guardian Brooch featuring a lion (inspired by Roark). There is also a polaroid-style photograph taken with a Memory Camera. It shows Jean and Mikasa as cadets; Mikasa appears focused on a lecture while Jean is gazing at her.

A note accompanies the package, written in Reiner's neat (Eldian) script: ]

This is called a Guardian Brooch. It'll make noise when it senses imminent danger and give you time to react.

The picture is of the first time I noticed you staring at Mikasa. You always had it bad, huh? :) I'm glad you two have found such happiness together.

[Since Hijikata knows that Shoto already went completely overboard for Jean, he only puts a truly tiny package in his mailbox. It contains an expensive present, though: Status Lenses.]

Thank you for the sword. You once more made a great blade. You've become a truly skilled swordsmith.

I got you something that'll be a serious asset on quests: Status Lenses that tell you the enemies weaknesses by accessing a datebase of information and overlaying it on your vision. I have a pair too, and they already helped me in some challenging situations!

[It's a holiday which means they don't have (to) work today! So Mikasa's sleeping in and whether Jean wakes up before her or not a mystery to her but at least he is there right next to her by the time his wife wakes up.

Mikasa cuddles closer and closer, nuzzling and cuddling for a while before she trails kisses from his shoulder to his cheek and finally to his lips too.]

Acting on Levi's request, Jean will hear a knock on his door a day or two later. Upon opening it, he'll find Erwin, dressed casually and bearing a small box (that could possibly be clocked as a pastry box of some sort), and a cordial, warm smile.

"Good afternoon, Jean. I apologize for dropping by unannounced. Are you busy?"

[As they live in the same house, it's fairly easy to sneak a gift his way- a little package with a 'fragile' sticker on the outside (it clashes horribly with the Christmas wrapping paper). Inside, he'll find a pistol that she'd been secretly working on for him on those evenings she'd said that she was working late and "Don't worry, you go ahead, I'll lock up when I'm done."

The note details that the parts have been designed to still function well and not get damaged even in extremely cold temperatures, along with a personal message; 'Merry Christmas. Thank you for always backing me up. Mukuro.']

[Focusing on Christmas Deliveries meant she didn't have to think about the holiday too much! That made this easier on her.

Eva'll be getting Jean a bottle of alcohol-free mulled wine to enjoy over the holidays- She at least remembered that Jean didn't drink alcohol, so avoided something boozy.]

[Well, at least it's not the first time Jean's had a mysterious package in Halloween-style gift wrap mysteriously left on his doorstep without a trace of the person who sent it!

The note just says that it's delicate and to be gentle with it.

His package contains a couple of potions with labels written in a delicate hand. An attached note explains what they're for; One was a soothing blue-purple in colour that is supposed to help with sleep, the other silver with the occasional streak of gold running through it- it should temporarily fix a broken weapon in a pinch, at least until it can be properly repaired. Hopefully he would find them useful.]
